Answers

1. What is my Username? 

Your username is used to identify you to the system.  It was included in the welcome email sent to you by your departmental contact.  If you cannot locate this email, please notify your departmental contact or contact the IMF HelpDesk.

 

2. What is my PIN

Your PIN or Personal Identification Number is used to help authorize you to log into the Expert Portal.  It was sent to you just after you received your Welcome Email.  If you cannot locate your PIN email, please contact the IMF HelpDesk.

 

3. I’ve click on the “Request Token on Demand” link, now what

If you did not receive the email with the token, please try again.  If you still do not receive the email, please check your email system’s SPAM filters.  The SPAM filters may be blocking you from receiving the email.  If you continue to have problems, please contact the IMF HelpDesk.

 

4. I’ve entered my Username, PIN and most recent Token, but still cannot get in.  What should I try

You may have been locked out after too many failed login attempts. Or your browser may not be correctly configured.  Please contact the IMF HelpDesk for assistance.

 

5. I think you have an old email address for me, how can I update it so I can receive the token

Please contact your departmental contact at the IMF for assistance.

 

6. How do I get additional help

To contact the Help Desk for any assistance, please call IT Help Desk at +1 (202) 623-6631 and select option “2” (remote access). You may explain that you are an Expert Portal caller, and you’re requesting them to call you back on your Skype account, if you have one or on your phone number otherwise.

Optionally, you may send an email to ITHelpDesk@imf.org, explain that you are an Expert Portal user, and would like a call back, providing your Skype account, if you have one, or your phone number otherwise. They will call you back shortly.
